Schools Health Group has one goal: to help people lose a million pounds
The Healthy Futures program, an initiative of the School of Public Health at the University is a kick started a campaign to lose the residents of Prince George's County to a collective 1 million pounds for the year Next.
The "Lose It to Win It" campaign was developed to the implementation of one of the main objectives of the future local health obesity sidewalk.
"Our main goal is to get the obesity rate," said Alicia Ray, a course major health Senior Community for the program. "We want people to be more active and generally healthy."
About 35 percent of adults in Prince George County obese and another 34 percent are overweight, according to a study by the School of Public Health in July 2012th
