Yoga, care and weight management

We are a country of excess. Our desire for more and more clear is the growing size of our homes, our cars, and meals during the past half century or more. Our waistlines have followed. Two-thirds of American adults are overweight or obese.
But there's more. Aruni Nan Futuronsky, the weight loss program including Kripalu says that we live in a culture coteaches, in the overdeveloped our mind. "Our relationship with our body is quiet and away from our consciousness," she says. "And there are so many foreign cultural pull to separate us from listening to the wisdom of the body and the type of nutrients in foods altogether., We forget what we really need to diet."
Speaking of education, caught my attention recently, as the teacher in a Kripalu R & R Integration Workshop weight loss retreat has asked us to remind our favorite food. Where was I? We share? What we have to eat, and why it was so delicious? As I called him a photo of a delicious meal I had on my honeymoon, I realized that I was not much of the food. I had visions of the magical atmosphere, the joy, with my now ex-husband, and my joy perfectly cooked in all courses, but I could not remember what he had eaten me what is. What was exciting about the food was the whole experience - if it is blown spinach or salmon mousse.
One thing I know is that I do not hurry through this dinner. I enjoyed the entire presentation of the fragrances, flavors and textures. The portions were anything but great, but I was very happy because I really slowed down and I enjoyed every bite.
Attention is the key to healing a difficult relationship with food - whether that means losing weight or not, says Aruni. "You have to change in the present," he said. "To do something different, you have to be where you are. If you do not notice the old behavior, you can not change. Mindfulness brings you into the moment begin to see their habitual patterns of compassion. With the right action happens the change ".
The coteacher inclusive of Aruni weight loss, Annie B. Kay (also dietitians lead Kripalu) says mindfulness can change a life, when people learn how to make meals in the meditation. "In most cases, recognize that they need much less [food] meet," he says.
Instead of changing the behavior of a system, weight loss make changes in lifestyle including sustainable living through self-observation of compassion. "There is more to deepen the perception and curious creature that knuckling white, victim, or someone else has become" Annie said.
Yoga is a powerful tool for weight loss, because it nourishes the body consciousness. "Yoga teaches you, in your body," says Annie, "which you explore how what you eat, you feel helps himself."
Yoga also teaches awareness of breathing, which helps to control stress to. "Stress is an internal biochemistry that makes you hungry," Annie said, "if it can help to reduce some aspects of appetite ways to manage."
Aruni said, in his experience, when people lose weight and keep it off, it is often because their deepest hunger is recognized. "What are you really hungry for?" He asks. "That is the question."
